Because Textastic supports tabs, you can even have multiple files and SSH terminals open simultaneously. You can manage remote file transfers with FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, Dropbox, and Google Drive and there’s a terrific, full-featured SSH terminal built right into the app. You can do that as well if you would like. Textastic goes well beyond the features of a classic text editor, though. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers you download in the same folder (like the downloads folder) the EXE can pick up any MSI installed in that folder, and may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the new one with the Dropbox fix. Without having all your points doubled and tripled, you could be stuck on one level for days - and you can only save the game when you complete a level. This forces you to get really good at the missions, since completing missions is the only way to get your score multiplier up. Excelling at GTA2 takes work, because you need a ton of points to proceed from level to level. This gives the game a "pick up and play" style, so you can sit down, turn on the game, cause a ruckus for ten or 15 minutes, and go back to whatever it was you were doing before. Once you get tired of running errands for the gangs, it's still fun just to drive around, running people over, blowing up cars at random, mowing down innocent bystanders with your machine gun, and waiting for the cops to arrive on the scene. The game gives you plenty of freedom to pick which gang you ally yourself with, though if you want to actually finish a level, you're eventually going to have to side with each of the level's three gangs. In later levels, the Feds will pick up your trail, and, if you're really a miscreant, those cop-car roadblocks might just get replaced with tanks.Įven though the gameplay is largely the same as in the previous GTA, it's still a lot of fun. They'll send a van full of armored SWAT guys your way. They'll swerve in front of you and cut you off. This time around, the 5-0 can get downright devious. In the original GTA, "the man" was content to simply set up roadblocks and hope you'd wreck your car. The police are also a constant factor in GTA2. Luckily, you've got a health meter this time around, so you can withstand a few shots before going down. Angry gangs will simply open fire on you the minute they see you. The more they hate you, the angrier they will get when you roll into their area. The better you do in one gang, the more that gang's rivals will hate you. They force you to blow up buildings, shoot informants, deliver narcotics, and all other types of ill deals. The missions are similar to those in the original GTA. Once you've earned a little positive respect from a gang (an onscreen meter lets you know where you stand with all three gangs), you can start answering that gang's pay phones and going on missions. Since the gangs are constantly at war with each other, the only real way to earn the respect of one gang is to roll over to its rival gang's turf and start smoking as many gang members as you can find. You, as a budding young criminal always on the lookout for the next big score, must earn some respect from the gangs in the city. But regardless of personal philosophies, the gangs' methods are roughly the same. The gangs range from the ever-unpopular megacorporation Zaibatsu to the dirt-road mobile-home-owning Rednecks. Each level is divided up into three areas of turf, controlled by a different gang. The result is a game that looks just about as good as the PC version but lacks the cool multiplayer features that made the PC version better than the rest. Grand Theft Auto 2 for the Dreamcast combines the feature set from the PlayStation version with the graphical sheen of the PC version. Everyone's favorite jack-move simulator is back for another round. And since we are talking about a horror game, players can expect some new threats along the way. If Dan doesn’t have legal access to some apartments, he will have to hack his way through the security system. For example, some computers will require decryption, others - repairing electrical circuits. In Observer: System Redux, the protagonist will have a few new obstacles to overcome before finding evidence. We wanted our investigations to consist of more activities than walking, talking, and investigating the environment through two kinds of special vision modes, although these options are still a solid base of our detective’s work. Any chance you could expand a bit on that? The announcement also mentions 'new game mechanics'. In general, we estimate that there is around 20% To get straight to the point will get through it quicker than someone who prefers to take their time,įully examine all nooks, and try all dialog options. The exact number of new hours really depends on how you approach the game: a player who likes There are plenty of tutorials floating around for building an fpkg from a game dump. For Observer: System Redux, how many additional hours of gameplay are there with the new quests, neural interrogations, and secrets? Then do the command line step to replace the keystone. Use the PKG Viewer by LMAN, extract the fpkg you have, and then build a new fpkg from your extracted directory with the modifiable flag set. I highly recommend that you take a backup of your save database so you can restore it if it doesn't work and your save files get marked as corrupt. The command will finish with a bunch of text and no errors, then test your game and see if loads your saves. Changing the flag back in the save database, or restoring the saves/db via various other means will sort it. Yeah if the save games are already marked as corrupted, even putting the correct keystone in place won't fix it as the flag has been set. Therefore if you try to load a legit save on an fpkg installed game it won't recognise it and will say your save is corrupt. As fpkgs use all 0's for the passcode, the keystone file generated when you make the fpkg differs from the keystone file in the legit game. This keystone file is used to identify a save as belonging to that game. You can use pkg viewer to check though.Įvery PS4 game has a keystone file which is generated based off of the passcode used when creating the game package. Makes sense, you wouldn't want to change the keystone and invalidate legitimate saves when updating. Updates don't have keystones, at least not the ones I've looked at. The legit, non fake PKG file will still be on your PS4 if you haven't deleted the game install but without the passcode you won't be able to extract the keystone file from it. From there, it's just like building an fpkg from a regular dump, but with the mod_pkg flag set (it's an option when pressing build).Īsk someone nicely who has the original keystone file to upload it for you. I'd use the PS4 Package Viewer by LMAN to extract the complete edition. Depending on the CUSA version, you might need to edit your save database as well, there's a post in this subreddit detailing how to do that. If the CE version you have isn't modifiable, just extract it and rebuild it with the modify option. You'll want to write the keystone from your disc dump into the Complete Edition fpkg then. Load up your game and rejoice as your saves work with the newly installed fpkg. |
